Retired Lieutenant General (USSF) Nina Armagno is a Distinguished Fellow at the ¼ø»Æʦapp.

Nina Armagno is a corporate board director and strategic advisor specializing in enterprise governance, risk oversight, and market growth in high-consequence, regulated industries. A retired three-star general, she was the first Senate-confirmed general officer in the history of the U.S. Space Force and the only Air Force general officer to command both of the nation's space launch wings. She currently serves on the boards of Rocket Lab and First Command Financial Services, and advises senior leadership at Lockheed Martin, United Launch Alliance, and VirnetX. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, where she co-chaired the 2025 CFR Independent Task Force on Space Policy, and sits on the Board of Advisors for the National Security Space Association.

Armagno built her military career directing multibillion-dollar budgets and leading organizations through major structural change. As Director of Staff for Headquarters, U.S. Space Force, she led the stand-up of a 600-person headquarters and oversaw the service's growth to 8,600 Guardians and a budget increase from $15.4 billion to $26.3 billion. She previously directed a nearly $14 billion space acquisition portfolio for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, served as U.S. Strategic Command's principal advisor on military strategy, and commanded both the 45th Space Wing and Eastern Range at Patrick Air Force Base and the 30th Space Wing and Western Range at Vandenberg Air Force Base. She holds a BS in biology from the United States Air Force Academy, an MA in education administration from Chapman University, and an MS in national security policy studies from the National War College, and completed the Directors' Consortium at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
